Personal training at Play offers completely customised programming designed around your specific needs, goals, and current abilities. Whether you’re building confidence before joining group classes, working toward a specific skill, or need focused attention to reach your goals, our expert coaches create a plan that works for you.

Sessions are 30, 45 or 60 minutes of dedicated coaching time. Your coach focuses entirely on your movement, progress, and development—no distractions, no waiting for equipment, just expert guidance every step of the way.

We offer both one-on-one and semi-private training (1-2 or 3-6 people), giving you the flexibility to train solo or with a friend or partner while still receiving individualised attention and programming.

    We’ll match you with the coach whose expertise aligns with your goals—whether that’s gymnastics, weightlifting, general fitness, or other specialisations.

  3. Customised Programming 
    Your coach creates a training program specifically for you, designed around your goals, schedule, and abilities.

  4. Ongoing Sessions
    Train on your schedule with consistent coaching, feedback, and program adjustments as you progress.

  5. Progress & Adaptation
    Your program evolves with you. As you develop, your coach adjusts your training to keep you progressing toward your goals.

Personal training is valuable if you’re new to fitness and want focused guidance, working toward specific skills that require detailed coaching, have scheduling needs that don’t fit group classes, or prefer individualised attention. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll help you determine if personal training or group classes are the better fit for your goals.

Absolutely. Many members use personal training to develop specific skills while attending group classes for general fitness. Others start with personal training to build confidence and foundation, then transition to group classes. We can help you structure a plan that combines both effectively.

It depends on your goals and budget. Some clients train 2-3 times per week exclusively through PT. Others do 1 PT session weekly combined with group classes. Some use occasional sessions to work on specific skills. Your coach will help determine what makes sense for your situation.

While there’s no required commitment, we recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to achieve the best results. This allows your coach to properly assess your abilities, refine your technique as you progress. You can purchase single sessions or packages based on what works for you.

Just comfortable workout clothes, gym shoes or running shoes, and a water bottle and a towel. We provide all training equipment.

After an initial assessment with our head coach, we match you with the coach whose expertise best aligns with your goals. If you’re focused on gymnastics skills, you’ll work with a coach who specialises in that area. If you need general strength and conditioning, we’ll match you accordingly.
