Junior and Teen Fitness Program

Building free and fearless kids through fitness

Free and Fearless Kids

Our philosophy is built around creating free and fearless kids. Teaching skills mastery, building confidence to try new things, and developing physical and mental resilience are the cornerstones of our program.

Play captures the essence of adventure, passion, and joy when kids tackle challenges and discover what they’re capable of. Through carefully designed programming and expert coaching, we help young people develop the tools they need to face life’s challenges with confidence.

We’re striving for a future where young people enter and exit school in excellent health—physically, mentally, and socially. Where they have the confidence to try new activities, trust new friends, and the resilience to finish what they start.

Why Juniors and Teens at Play?

This isn’t a watered-down version of adult fitness—it’s a carefully designed program that meets kids where they are. Every child builds their fitness level regardless of where they start, from the naturally athletic to those just beginning their fitness journey.

Our passionate and experienced coaches help each child approach their workout with intensity and focus they can apply in all aspects of life. By facing challenging workouts and learning not to quit, they become resilient and tenacious. They learn to respect and celebrate each other’s unique abilities while striving to improve something every day.

What Sets Our Program Apart

Age-Appropriate Progression

Age-Appropriate Progression

Content and structure advances with the child's physical and mental development. We meet them at their level and progress them systematically.

Variety and Fun

Variety and Fun

No two classes are ever the same. Kids stay engaged, excited, and never bored while building real fitness.

Program Levels

Our program is structured into age-appropriate levels that progress in complexity and intensity as kids develop:

Level 1

(5-7 years)

Focus on movement patterns, coordination, balance, agility, flexibility, and body-weight strength. Short conditioning pieces paired with games and interactive drills. Lots of fun!

Level 2

(8-12 years)

Building on Level 1 skills with more attention to accuracy, movement quality, stamina, and speed. Introduction of dumbbells, medicine balls, and kettlebells expands their strength movement vocabulary. Classes include skill or strength work followed by 10-15 minute intense workouts.

Level 3

(10-15 years)

Further development of Level 2 work with focus on power development. Introduction of barbells broadens training horizons. More challenging bodyweight and gymnastics movements. Longer, more complex workouts that build work capacity and mental toughness.

Level 4 / Teens

(13-16+ years)

Programming begins to resemble the adult CrossFit structure while remaining age-appropriate. Advanced skills, heavier loads, and complex workout structures prepare teens for adult training or competitive sports.

Note: Levels 1-2 are primarily age-based. Level 3+ progression is based on experience and physical development. Students wanting to start at, or transitioning to Level 3 may require assessment to ensure they have the proper foundation.

Complement Your Child's Sports Training

Our Juniors program is designed to complement sport-specific training your child may already be doing. While they develop skills in rugby, soccer, netball, or other sports with their teams, our program builds the foundational strength, conditioning, and movement quality that makes them better athletes.

Kids develop power, agility, coordination, and work capacity that transfers directly to their chosen sports. They learn proper movement mechanics, build resilience, and develop the mental toughness that carries over to competition.

Whether your child is already active in sports or you’re looking to build their physical confidence before they join a team, our program provides the fitness foundation they need to succeed.
