We’ve been a CrossFit affiliate for over 12 years. As Sydney’s largest CrossFit facility, we have the space, equipment, and coaching expertise to accommodate athletes of all levels.

Our coaches are experts at modifying workouts to meet you where you are today, whether you’re brand new to fitness or a seasoned athlete. Every movement can be adjusted for intensity, weight, or complexity. We’ve successfully coached everyone from complete beginners to competitive athletes—what matters is your willingness to show up and do the work.

Our certified coaches emphasize proper technique and appropriate scaling before intensity. We teach proper movement patterns and build a strong foundation before adding complexity or weight. When properly coached—as we do at Play—CrossFit has injury rates comparable to or lower than traditional gym training. Our small class sizes and experienced coaches ensure you’re moving safely and effectively.
CrossFit combines elements of weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardio conditioning in constantly varied workouts. Unlike traditional gym routines where you might repeat the same exercises weekly, you’ll never do the same workout twice.
It’s coach-led, so you don’t have to program your own workouts or wonder if you’re doing things correctly. The group environment provides accountability and energy you won’t find training alone. Most importantly, CrossFit focuses on functional movements that translate to real-world activities, not isolated muscle groups.
Yes! We offer intro sessions where you can experience CrossFit at Play, meet our coaches, and see if it’s the right fit for you. During your intro session, we’ll discuss your goals, assess your movement, and walk you through a modified workout. There’s no pressure—we want to make sure this is the right environment for your fitness journey. Book your intro session using the button at the top of this page.
Just bring comfortable workout clothes, gym shoes or runners, a water bottle, and a positive attitude! We provide all equipment including barbells, weights, rowers, and more. We have change rooms and showers on-site. If you have wrist wraps, knee sleeves, or other preferred gear, feel free to bring them, but they’re not necessary to get started.
